Five people were injured in the crash, including Oliver, the helicopter pilot, and several people on the ground. The pilot, Eric Nixon, suffered broken ribs and crushed vertebrae but is expected to recover. Madeline explained, “My family and I are not looking for some type of payout or free money. All of these donations will go to Oliver’s medical expenses. Both parents will not be working due to this accident.”
