Country legend Dolly Parton has delayed her Las Vegas residency to 2026 due to health concerns. She assures fans she’s not retiring—just taking time to heal.

Country music icon Dolly Parton has postponed her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency after doctors advised her to take a break for health-related procedures.

The 79-year-old star was originally scheduled to perform six shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace this December (Dec 4–13, 2025), but those dates have now been pushed back to September 2026.

🩺 Dolly Issues Emotional Statement to Fans

In a heartfelt message posted to her social media, Dolly explained the reason behind the sudden change:

“As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures.”

Known for her signature humor, Dolly added:

“It must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up — although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”

Despite the light-hearted tone, Dolly assured fans that this decision was made out of love and respect for her audience.

To quiet any rumors about her stepping away from the spotlight, Dolly clarified:

“Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.”

🎶 Residency Rescheduled for September 2026

The rescheduled dates will now run from September 17 to September 26, 2026, also at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Fans who already bought tickets will be able to use them for the new dates. Refunds will be made available for those unable to attend.

This would mark her first extended Vegas run since 1993, when she performed at The Mirage. Although her last full tour was in 2016 (the Pure & Simple tour), she has made select appearances in recent years, including the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony and CMA Fest 2022.

Earlier this year, Dolly also suffered a heartbreaking personal loss when her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, passed away at age 82.
