Elon Musk denies visiting Jeffrey Epstein’s private island after being named in newly released Epstein files. The billionaire claims he refused Epstein’s invitation and calls the reports misleading.
Elon Musk has broken his silence after his name appeared in newly released Jeffrey Epstein files, which also mentioned other high-profile figures such as Prince Andrew, Bill Gates, and Donald Trump.
The documents, released on September 26 by Democrats on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, referenced Musk as a potential visitor to Epstein’s private island, Little St. James, on December 6, 2014.

The entry reportedly read: “Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec.6 (is this still happening?).”
Musk Calls Report “Misleading”
Musk quickly rejected the suggestion that he visited Epstein’s island, criticizing media reports for spreading what he called an “utterly misleading headline.”
“Anyone pushing this false narrative deserves complete contempt,” Musk wrote. He insisted that he had refused Epstein’s invitation, adding:
“Epstein tried to get me to go to his island and I REFUSED, yet they name me even before Prince Andrew, who did visit.”
Other Big Names Mentioned
The documents also referenced other powerful figures:

Prince Andrew appeared in Epstein’s flight logs as a passenger alongside Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell on May 12, 2000. An alleged victim testified during Maxwell’s 2021 trial that she flew with them at just 14 years old. Andrew has repeatedly denied wrongdoing.
Bill Gates was listed for a breakfast with Epstein in December 2014.
Peter Thiel, PayPal co-founder, was scheduled for lunch with Epstein in November 2017.
Steve Bannon, Trump’s former chief strategist, was listed for a breakfast meeting in February 2019.
Trump Allegations
Musk went further, suggesting that Donald Trump’s name would also appear in the files and accused the administration of trying to cover it up. Some of his posts making this claim were later deleted.

A Global Scandal That Won’t Fade
Epstein, a financier and convicted sex offender, was arrested in 2019 on charges of sex trafficking minors. He died in jail that same year. His former partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, was later convicted of sex trafficking and is serving a 20-year sentence.
Oversight Committee spokesperson Sara Guerrero said:
“Every new document produced provides new information as we work to bring justice for the survivors and victims.”
The committee confirmed more files will be released once the names of victims have been fully redacted.
