JD Vance blasts Kamala Harris after she leaked surprising private remarks from Donald Trump in her new memoir 107 Days.
JD Vance vs. Kamala Harris: The Heated Exchange
Vice President JD Vance is hitting back at former Vice President Kamala Harris, following revelations from her new memoir 107 Days, where she shared surprising private comments made by Donald Trump.
During an appearance on The Ingraham Angle with Laura Ingraham, Vance was asked about Harris’ portrayal of him in her book, where she called him “a juvenile and shapeshifter.” That description didn’t sit well with him—and his response was blistering.

Vance’s Scathing Remark
Harris has argued that her 2024 presidential campaign was cut short and could have gained momentum with more time. Vance wasn’t buying it.
“The problem is not that Kamala’s campaign was too short. It was too long. When people actually listened to what she had to say, her support dropped lower and lower,” he said.
Vance claimed that if the campaign had run longer, Trump’s landslide victory would have been even bigger. In 2024, Trump won 312 electoral votes while Harris secured 226.
“No Substance There”
Vance didn’t stop there. He accused Harris of lacking depth and failing to connect with voters:
“The more people know about Kamala Harris, the more they realize there is no substance there.”
“Barack Obama and Bill Clinton could articulate their views, even if you disagreed with them. Harris speaks for 90 seconds and you feel dumber afterwards.”
He went on to say Harris struggles to communicate clear ideas to the American people, suggesting that unless she learns to define her positions, she’ll continue to falter politically.
Harris’ Surprising Trump Revelation
Vance’s criticism comes after Harris revealed in her memoir that Trump privately spoke kindly to her after the second assassination attempt against him.
According to Harris, Trump told her:
“How do I say bad things about you now? I’m going to tone it down. You’re going to see.”
She also claimed Trump admitted that his daughter Ivanka Trump was a “big fan” of hers.
But Harris didn’t believe his words, calling him a “con man” in her book.
Politics and Personal Tensions
The sharp exchanges between Vance and Harris highlight the ongoing political divide. For Vance, Harris’ memoir is proof she is trying to rewrite her campaign loss. For Harris, it’s about showing a side of Trump the public rarely sees—while reminding readers not to fall for what she calls his charm.
As the political landscape heats up, these personal jabs and revelations are sure to fuel more headlines.
