Jimmy Kimmel trolls Donald Trump with a hilarious photo after the Trumps’ awkward escalator moment at the UN. Check out the joke Kimmel shared, poking fun at the president’s mishap.
It seems the ongoing feud between TV host Jimmy Kimmel and former President Donald Trump is far from over. The two have been openly exchanging jabs for some time, and it appears Kimmel just can’t resist poking fun at Trump once again.
The rivalry between Kimmel and Trump began following a suspension of Kimmel’s show by ABC over comments the host made about conservative commentator Charlie Kirk and the president. Trump celebrated the suspension, but it didn’t take long for Kimmel to return to the airwaves and throw some playful shots at Trump, continuing their public back-and-forth.

When Kimmel returned to Jimmy Kimmel Live on September 23, he addressed the ongoing controversy in his opening monologue. He remarked, “You almost have to feel sorry for him, he tried his best to cancel me, and instead he forced millions of people to watch the show.”
Kimmel went on to say, “The president of the United States made it very clear he wants to see me and the hundreds of people who work here fired from our jobs. Our leader celebrates Americans losing their livelihoods because he can’t take a joke.”
A day later, Kimmel called Trump a “bully,” further fueling the public rivalry between the two.
Trump and Melania’s Escalator Incident at the UN

The latest chapter in this feud stems from a viral moment at the United Nations headquarters in New York, where Trump and First Lady Melania Trump experienced an awkward situation involving an escalator. As they attempted to board the escalator, it suddenly stopped working, forcing the couple and their entourage to walk up the stairs instead.
Trump later took to Truth Social to express his frustration, blaming the UN for the mishap. “This was absolutely sabotage,” Trump wrote, citing an article in The London Times that claimed UN workers had joked about turning off the escalator. He even called for the people responsible to be arrested.
While Trump wasn’t amused by the incident, many others, including Kimmel, found humor in the situation.

Kimmel’s Hilarious Response
On September 26, Kimmel took to social media to share a cheeky photo of his sidekick, Guillermo Rodriguez, happily riding an escalator. Kimmel posted the photo with the caption: “Headed to Brooklyn! Escalator is working great!” The joke was a clear jab at the Trump family’s embarrassing moment.
Kimmel, who is filming multiple shows in Brooklyn next week at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, also took a playful jab at the show’s temporary relocation, saying, “We have to stay on the move so the FCC can’t get us.”
