Donald Trump speaks out after the ICE facility shooting in Dallas, Texas, condemning the attack and blaming radical leftists for increased violence against law enforcement.
Donald Trump has publicly condemned the tragic shooting at an ICE facility in Dallas, Texas, on Wednesday, which left two people dead and several others injured. The gunman, 29-year-old Joshua Jahn, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after his indiscriminate attack. One of the victims, a detainee, was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others remain in critical condition in the hospital. Fortunately, no ICE agents were injured in the attack.

The FBI investigation into the shooting revealed anti-ICE sentiments, with the words ‘ANTI-ICE’ written on the bullet casings, further highlighting the shooter’s apparent motives. In the wake of the attack, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to denounce the violence, calling it “despicable.”
“The Brave Men and Women of ICE are just trying to do their jobs, and remove the ‘WORST of the WORST’ Criminals out of our Country, but they are facing an unprecedented increase in threats, violence, and attacks by Deranged Radical Leftists,” Trump said.
Trump also pointed the finger at the Radical Left Democrats, accusing them of demonizing law enforcement, calling for ICE to be abolished, and comparing ICE officers to Nazis. He argued that the ongoing violence from what he called “Radical Left Terrorists” must be stopped.
“This violence is the result of the Radical Left Democrats constantly demonizing Law Enforcement,” Trump stated. “The continuing violence from Radical Left Terrorists, in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, must be stopped.”
In his post, Trump vowed to take action by signing an executive order later this week “to dismantle these Domestic Terrorism Networks,” including groups like ANTIFA. “The Trump Administration is fully committed to backing Law Enforcement, Strong Borders, securing our Homeland, deporting Violent Illegal Criminals, and fully rooting out the Left Wing Domestic Terrorism that is terrorizing our Country,” Trump added.
The incident unfolded when Jahn opened fire from an adjacent building, targeting the ICE facility and even shooting at a van in the sallyport, where the victims were located. The Department of Homeland Security confirmed that the shooter fired indiscriminately, and Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons expressed concern about the potential danger to civilians and other workers nearby.

Several prominent figures have spoken out about the attack. JD Vance condemned the “obsessive attack on law enforcement” and specifically on ICE, stating that it “must stop.” Texas Republican Senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz also expressed their shock and support for the victims, with Cornyn calling the shooting “horrific” and Cruz praying for a “swift recovery” of the injured.
This incident comes just two weeks after the tragic assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was shot dead at a Utah Valley University event on September 10. Kirk, a close ally of Trump, was fatally shot in front of a large crowd, including his wife, Erika, and their two young children.
