Donald Trump lashes out at Kamala Harris after she reveals surprising comments he allegedly made to her in private. Trump’s Truth Social post focuses on her claim about the 2024 election.
Donald Trump has launched a scathing attack on Vice President Kamala Harris after she revealed surprising private comments he allegedly made to her in her upcoming memoir, 107 Days. The book, set to explore Harris’ experience during her presidential bid, has already sparked controversy, with Harris calling Trump a “con man” and reflecting on their private interactions.
During an appearance on The View to promote her memoir, Harris discussed the upcoming 2024 election, stating that it was expected to be a “close call.” She also mentioned an instance in which Trump allegedly told her: “How do I say bad things about you now? I’m going to tone it down. I will. You’re going to see.” This comment seemed to contrast with Trump’s public criticism of Harris, further fueling the tension between the two.

In response, Trump posted a fiery message on his social media platform, Truth Social, aimed at Harris. His focus was less on Harris’ claims about him being a “con man” and more on her assertion about the 2024 election being close. Trump vehemently disagreed with Harris’ description, calling her “dumb as a rock” and labeling her statement a “lie.”
Trump’s post read: “Kamala Harris, who is DUMB AS A ROCK, is going around and using, as a standard part of her Speech on why she lost the Election, that 2024 was the ‘closest Presidential Election in the 21st Century.’ Everyone knows this is a lie, and was covered as such by Fox News!”
The former president continued to emphasize his victory in the 2016 election, claiming a “landslide” win in the Electoral College with 312 votes to 226, and a significant margin across counties nationwide. Trump also referenced the popular vote, noting that despite issues with mail-in ballots in California, he still won by millions of votes.

“Kamala’s ‘closest in the 21st Century’ soundbite was, like everything else in the Democrat Party, A TOTAL LIE!” Trump declared, demanding an apology for what he described as misinformation. “I expect an apology. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
Despite Trump’s claims of a decisive victory, many of the swing states he won in 2016 were decided by thin margins. Michigan was won by just 1.4%, Wisconsin by 0.9%, and Georgia by 2.2%. These tight margins suggest that the 2016 election was more of a narrow victory than a landslide, as Trump often asserts.
