The crash occurred on the morning of August 4, 2025, on Highway 9. The family was just minutes away from their home when their GMC Yukon SUV collided with a Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by a 25-year-old man who crossed into the southbound lane.

All five victims were residents of Kremmling, originally from Jerez, Zacatecas, Mexico. The family’s tragic deaths have left the small town heartbroken, with many friends, family members, and community members rallying to honor their memory.

It’s so sad to think about—his youngest was only two, and his oldest was just 12. They had their whole life ahead of them.”
