Donald Trump is accused of breaking royal protocol during his UK visit after walking ahead of King Charles. The incident has stirred outrage online.

Donald Trump has once again landed in the middle of controversy—this time during his official state visit to the United Kingdom. Just hours into his arrival, the former U.S. president was accused of breaching royal protocol in front of King Charles III.

Trump and First Lady Melania were welcomed in Windsor by Prince William and Princess Kate before being introduced to King Charles and Queen Camilla. Cameras captured Trump warmly shaking hands with the King, even placing his hand on Charles’ arm during their exchange.

The group then moved on to a military inspection. But this is where Trump sparked outrage—he walked ahead of King Charles while casually speaking with one of the guards. By royal tradition, no one should walk in front of the reigning monarch. Members of the royal family and visiting dignitaries are expected to remain behind the King according to rank and order of succession.

The moment quickly spread across social media, where many criticized Trump’s actions as “disgraceful” and “disrespectful.”

One user wrote on X (formerly Twitter):
“Trump walking in front of the King. The man is a disgrace and has no respect for the King. He never did for the late Queen either.”

Another commented:
“Donald Trump leading the British army and walking in front of the King says it all.”

Others pointed out that this was not the first time Trump appeared to disregard royal etiquette. During a past visit with Queen Elizabeth II, he was also slammed for stepping ahead of her during a guard inspection.

Despite the online backlash, King Charles remained calm and continued with the ceremony as planned.

The visit comes amid heightened security, as Trump has faced two assassination attempts within the past year. His ally, conservative activist Charlie Kirk, was recently killed, raising further concerns about his safety during international trips.

For now, Trump’s latest royal misstep has reignited debates about respect, tradition, and his unconventional approach to diplomacy.
