FBI uncovers chilling texts from Tyler Robinson confessing to Charlie Kirk’s assassination, as investigators probe whether he acted alone or as part of a wider network.
The FBI has released shocking details about messages allegedly sent by Tyler Robinson, the man accused of assassinating conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Kirk, 31, was gunned down on September 10 while speaking at an outdoor event at Utah Valley University. Robinson, a 22-year-old Utah native, was arrested less than 48 hours later after his family reportedly turned him in following FBI appeals for public help.
Authorities say Robinson has refused to cooperate with investigators since his arrest.
DNA Evidence at the Scene

FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed that Robinson’s DNA was found on a screwdriver recovered from the rooftop where the fatal shot was fired. DNA was also discovered on a towel that had been wrapped around the rifle believed to have been used in the killing.
Robinson’s Discord Messages
Perhaps most chilling are the texts Robinson allegedly sent to friends in a Discord chat shortly before his arrest.
He reportedly wrote:
“Hey guys, I have bad news for you all. It was me at UVU yesterday. I’m sorry for all of this.”
Robinson continued:

“I’m surrendering through a sheriff friend in a few moments. Thanks for all the good times and laughs, you’ve all been so amazing, thank you all for everything.”
According to investigators, Robinson was arrested about two hours after sending the messages.
FBI Probes Possible Extended Network
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said the agency is now investigating whether Robinson acted alone or as part of a wider conspiracy.
“We’ll be dropping a lot of subpoenas to see if there was any extended network,” Bongino told Fox News.
He also noted that Robinson had shown “multiple warning signs” prior to the assassination, and investigators want to know if others were involved.
Facing Capital Murder Charges
Authorities in Utah are preparing to file capital murder charges against Robinson in connection with the killing.
Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was a close ally of former President Donald Trump and a rising figure in conservative politics. His death has shaken political circles across the United States and beyond.
