Vice President JD Vance pays tribute to his late friend Charlie Kirk by hosting a special episode of The Charlie Kirk Show. Erika Kirk vows to continue her husband’s mission.
Vice President JD Vance has found a deeply personal way to honor his late friend Charlie Kirk, following the conservative activist’s tragic assassination.
Vance and Kirk were known to be close friends. Just one day after Kirk’s death, Vance and his wife Usha accompanied Erika Kirk, Charlie’s grieving widow, as they escorted his casket to Arizona aboard Air Force Two. Emotional photos captured the moment Erika held Usha Vance’s hand for support while arriving in Phoenix.
Erika Kirk Speaks Out

In a heartfelt livestream from Turning Point USA’s office, Erika shared memories of her husband:
“He loved America, nature, and the Chicago Cubs,” she said.
“But most of all, Charlie loved his children. And he loved me. With all his heart. And he made sure I knew that every day.”
She also vowed to carry forward Kirk’s mission by continuing his “American Comeback Tour.”
Carrying On Kirk’s Legacy
Kirk, 31, was the founder of Turning Point USA and the host of The Charlie Kirk Show, a podcast where he shared “unapologetically conservative” views on the biggest headlines of the day. The last episode aired on the day of his death.

Now, as an unexpected tribute, JD Vance will host a special episode of the podcast. It is set to air at 12:00 PM ET on September 15.
On Twitter, the Vice President wrote:
“Tomorrow, I will have the honor of hosting The Charlie Kirk Show. Please join me as I pay tribute to my friend.”
