Erika Kirk Shares Heartbreaking Conversation with Daughter
The widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk has shared how she explained his tragic death to their three-year-old daughter.

Kirk, 31, was fatally shot on September 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University. Authorities say he was struck in the neck by a bullet fired from a nearby rooftop. Two days later, the FBI confirmed the arrest of 22-year-old Tyler Robinson as the lead suspect.
Kirk is survived by his wife, Erika, and their two young children—a son who recently turned one and a daughter who turned three.
“Where’s Daddy?”

During a livestream from her late husband’s podcast studio, Erika, 36, described the heartbreaking moment she had to comfort their daughter after the assassination.
“When I got home, Gigi ran into my arms. She said, ‘Mommy, I miss you.’ I said, ‘I miss you too, baby.’ Then she asked, ‘Where’s daddy?’ How do you tell a three-year-old?”
Erika told her daughter:
“Daddy loves you so much, baby. He’s on a work trip with Jesus so he can afford your blueberry budget.”
Erika’s Tribute to Her Husband

In her emotional speech, Erika thanked first responders, Turning Point USA staff, and former President Donald Trump, who she said her husband “loved” and “knew loved him back.”
She also addressed those responsible for the attack:
“If you thought my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea what you have unleashed across this country and the world.”
Erika vowed to continue Charlie’s work, including his American Comeback Tour, radio show, and podcast, ensuring his mission would live on.
Remembering Charlie Kirk

Married in 2021, the couple built their life around faith, family, and activism. Erika described her husband as a man who loved America, nature, the Chicago Cubs, and most of all, his family.
“Charlie loved his children, and he loved me with all his heart. Every day he made sure I knew that.”
She ended her tribute by calling him a “good and faithful servant”, saying she believes he is still watching over them.
