Erika Kirk delivers an emotional video statement after her husband Charlie Kirk’s assassination, vowing to continue his mission and honor his legacy.
The wife of conservative activist Charlie Kirk has spoken publicly for the first time since his assassination at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025.
Kirk, 31, was fatally shot in the neck during a targeted attack while speaking at a campus event. He was rushed to the hospital but did not survive. The FBI later recovered the rifle believed to have been used in the shooting and arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson of Utah.
Erika Kirk’s Emotional Video Statement

On September 11, Kirk’s wife, Erika Kirk, delivered a moving livestream statement. Standing beside her husband’s empty podcast chair, she thanked first responders, Kirk’s staff, and the White House for their support.
She also addressed former President Donald Trump, saying:
“Mr. President, my husband loved you. And he knew that you loved him too.”
Erika reflected on her husband’s life, sharing that Kirk loved America, nature, the Chicago Cubs, and above all, his family.
“Most of all, he loved his children. And he loved me, with all his heart. He made sure I knew that every day.”
A Defiant Message to Those Responsible

While she did not name Robinson directly, Erika condemned those she referred to as “evil-doers” behind her husband’s death.
“You have no idea the fire you have ignited within this wife. The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry. If you thought my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea what you have unleashed.”
She vowed to continue her late husband’s work, including his radio show, podcast, and campus tours.
Family Struggles and Faith
Speaking about their two children — a one-year-old son and a three-year-old daughter — Erika revealed her heartbreak at explaining their father’s death.
She shared how she tried to comfort her daughter, saying:
“Baby, daddy loves you so much. Don’t worry. He’s on a work trip with Jesus.”
Erika, a former Miss Arizona USA, married Charlie Kirk in 2021. Despite sharing glimpses of family life online, the couple never revealed their children’s faces or names.
Just hours before the assassination, Erika posted a Bible verse on social media:
“Psalm 46:1 — God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
