Samsung mocked Apple just hours after the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air launch, reigniting their rivalry with a viral #iCant post. Read about the latest tech drama here.

Apple has finally revealed its new iPhone 17 lineup and the ultra-thin iPhone Air, but not everyone is impressed — especially rival tech giant Samsung.

At Apple’s big September event, the company showcased the iPhone 17 series along with the iPhone Air, which is only 5.6mm thin, making it Apple’s slimmest iPhone ever. Despite its slim design, Apple says the Air is the most durable iPhone yet, built with a ceramic shield and a strong titanium frame.

The new iPhone 17 models will be available in five stylish colors — lavender, mist blue, black, white, and sage. Apple also announced AirPods Pro 3 and a refreshed Apple Watch lineup.

But within hours of the launch, Samsung wasted no time throwing shade.

Samsung’s Savage Response

Samsung Mobile US reposted one of its old viral tweets from 2022, originally aimed at the iPhone 14 launch, which read: “Let us know when it folds.”

This time, they added the hashtag #iCant with the jab:

“#iCant believe this is still relevant 💀.”

The post has already crossed 300,000 views and thousands of likes, reigniting the long-running rivalry between the two companies.

Samsung has been a pioneer in foldable phones since 2019 with its Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold series, both using Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) to fold and unfold. Apple, on the other hand, still hasn’t entered the foldable market, which is considered by many as the future of smartphones.

The debate quickly exploded across social media:

Some Apple fans defended the new launch:

“Why do you think folding is a flex?”

“Apple will always be better than you guys.”

Others sided with Samsung, saying:

“Honestly enjoying Samsung tweets.”

Regardless of which side you’re on, the buzz around Apple’s iPhone 17, iPhone Air, Pro, and Pro Max continues. Apple claims the Pro series features their best camera system yet — with an 18MP front camera, three 48MP rear cameras, 4x optical zoom, and up to 8x telephoto zoom powered by Tetraprism stabilization technology.

The Apple vs Samsung feud is clearly far from over — and fans are loving every second of it.
