Charlie Sheen reveals past relationships with men, his battle with crack addiction, and living with HIV in his new Netflix documentary and book.
Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen has made a shocking revelation about his past in his upcoming two-part Netflix documentary and new book. The 60-year-old star admitted that during his years of battling drug addiction, he also experimented with relationships with men.
A Defiant Confession
Speaking openly in aka Charlie Sheen, Sheen described how, at the height of his chaotic lifestyle, he had been with countless women and decided to “flip the menu over” to try something different.
Far from being ashamed, Sheen insists he will not run from his past:
“Liberating. It’s f**ing liberating … just to talk about stuff.”*

The actor said discussing it publicly didn’t bring any disaster:
“No train came through the restaurant. No piano fell from the sky. No one ran in and shot me.”
Drugs and Reckless Decisions
Sheen admitted that his experiences with men began while he was using crack cocaine.
“That’s what started it. That’s where it was born or sparked,” he explained. While struggling to process it at first, Sheen eventually reached acceptance:
“So what? Some of it was weird. A lot of it was f**ing fun. And life goes on.”*
Living With HIV
During his reckless lifestyle, Sheen contracted HIV. For years he kept it a secret, fearing exposure. Guests at his home reportedly threatened to reveal his diagnosis unless he paid them.

In 2015, Sheen finally went public on the Today Show, declaring:
“I just need to be free of that and then see how the world feels if people know that stuff. I do know for a fact that I never passed it on.”
Thanks to modern medication, people living with HIV can now manage the virus so effectively that it becomes untransmittable.
Netflix Release Date
